Site specific installation funded by Mills College and organized by Invisible Venues - an independent collaborative that presents contemporary art in unexpected settings - this installation took place in the home of the former Oakland mayor in the historic Pardee Home. Inspired by the events of the 1906 earthquake and Enoch Pardee’s influence in San Francisco, these sonic interventions are placed in several rooms of the Pardee house. The resulting score "Sonic Pardee - Reconstituting Memories of Pardee Past,” drew on the real and imagined history of the house and its inhabitants, creating dreams, a sense of time and historical passage.
